Anaesthesia at this location

Procedures at Swift are carried out under local anaesthesia with light sedation. For sphincter-preserving laser work this is usually all that is needed — you are comfortable throughout, you recover faster, and there is no general anaesthetic to sleep off.

If your case genuinely requires general anaesthesia — a complex or recurrent fistula, for example — it is scheduled at the JLT location instead, which is licensed for it. That decision is made at consultation, not on the day.
